on September 15, 1980 when COMBS, TENNANT & CARPENTER, P.C. began serving the High Country. Over the years, our firm has matched the considerable growth of our local economy in order to fulfill our clients' various tax, audit, and accounting needs. 

We currently operate offices in Boone and Newland with seven professionals that provide services to clients throughout the state of North Carolina. We are proud participants and supporters of the community and are intimately familiar with the opportunities and challenges it presents. 

We offer services in many areas including bookkeeping and payroll processing, individual and corporate tax preparation, and audit and assurance.  Our staff is eager to assist you in any accounting matter.
